Meta served as a nurse having joined up due to her school friends. As a 27 year old her dedication and servive to the wounded on the Normandy beaches led to her receiving an MBE. A true hero serving other true heroes. It was a privilege to have known this remarkable woman who went on to serve in Belgium and Bangladesh treating prisoners of war and concentration camp suvivors. knew Meta in my capacity of a Eucharistic Minister taking her Holy Communion.
